Testing the Quest A+ Locked Browser
Since June 1, 2009, all secure tests have required the Quest A+ Locked Browser product to be installed. If this security software is not in place, secure tests (e.g. field tests, Achievement tests) will not open.
To test if the Locked Browser functions in your environment, access our the Quest A+ site at https://questaplus.alberta.ca. On this website we have prepared a mock “secure test” which is actually a Science 30 practice test. To access this test, do the following:
- Click on “Secure Exams”
Enter the following Exam PIN:
9999099and click “Verify Exam PIN”
- The cover page for this test will be shown. Clicking the “Next” button will show the copyright page followed by the instruction pages. Clicking “Next” on the last instruction page will launch the Locked Browser in fullscreen mode
- Enter your Birthdate and Alberta Student Number. If it is not working for you, please double check that it has been entered correctly. If it still not working for you, contact your school to verify that your information is correct. If you do not know your Alberta Student Number, please contact your school to obtain it.
- Another page will now load. Click “Download”
The start code for this test is:
sTarT. Note that start codes are case-sensitive. After entering it, click “Start”
You are now in the test. To exit this test without submitting,
click on the “i” towards the top-left of the screen.
Click on “Proctor options” and enter the supervisor
PIN once more:
3pCt. You can also exit by clicking the “Finish” button and confirming that you want to finish.
