Help for administrators wanting to use Quest A+ for secured exams, accessing prelim results, reports and perusals

Getting Started

Administrators can request to use Quest A+ for diploma exams and provincial achievement tests using the links below. Teachers can request field tests and practice written responses using the Help for Teachers page.

Preparing for a Secured Exam

In order to be prepared for students to write a secured exam on Quest A+, schools must have adequate internet connectivity, and LockDown Browser installed on PCs and Macs. These can be school owned or student owned devices.

If students are using Chromebooks to access secured exams, they must be school owned devices, and must be configured by a tech well in advance of the exam.

It is important that students have used Quest A+ prior the exam, either by completing practice tests , or practice written responses.

  • What is an Exam PIN?
    An Exam PIN is part of a group of access codes required to enter a secured exam. An Exam PIN is a case-sensitive code that is only valid on the date and time of a test administration. It is typically a 6-digit code consisting of alphanumeric characters. Only one Exam PIN is required for a whole class of students writing the exam in the same room. You need to request access codes from Alberta Education. For PATs and Diplomas, use the link for the Diploma Exam request form for Quest A+ . For other secure exams contact Alberta Education

Accessing a Perusal

For January and June diploma exam administrations only, Grade 12 teachers who teach a diploma course within the current school year are eligible to peruse that diploma exam in the same language of instruction.

  3. Click on the My Apps button
  4. Scroll down to Learner Assessment Services
